Taylor Sterling, the founder of The Glitter Guide, reached out to us in her search for the perfect lounge chair for her home. Nostalgic about her father’s iconic lounge chair and ottoman designed by Ray and Charles, she sought out the most accurate reproduction on the market to fulfill her needs for a sleek, classic and comfortable chair.
She customized her lounger in Modena Black and Rosewood Palisander, a timeless combination. Bringing “a stylish richness” to her room, she praises the chair’s adaptability as a subtle or statement piece, calling it “simple – almost unassuming – in its appearance, yet it really makes an impact.”
“The leather is so soft and supple. (I can’t get my husband off of it. Seriously. I want a turn!) But the wood is probably my favorite part—it gives the chair a warm appearance that works really well with the rest of our furniture,” says Taylor.
Taylor achieves her gorgeous interior by mixing the strong features of the Rove Lounge Chair and Ottoman with warm furniture and soft accessories. She balances the lounger’s dark hues with a textured, light colored pillow, tying them together with a black and white throw. Gold and tans surround the chair, creating an elegant balance of lightness and heaviness. Unexpected accessories like fresh flowers, doubled rugs and a fur covered stool give the space liveliness, making it look like a home, not a showroom. Her playful use of texture, contrast and eclectic accents creates definite personality.
We know that decorating can be hard so we are so glad that Taylor found us to fulfill her needs for the “ultimate” chair. Check out her story here!15970
